I went to a fund-raising concert for Leukaemia and Myeloma Research last night with John Prentice and "His Worship and the Pig" (Dave Boulton and Jeff Parton). The acoustic in the church was so lively we couldn't hear a word John Prentice said, so Dave and Geoff did their set without the PA, and it was brilliant. I have great admiration for performers who are willing to give up an evening's income to help charities.

I should also say that Geoff's wife Jill Holland did a wonderful rendition of "It's Always the Women Who Mourn".
