It appears Jim Malcolm has thought better of singing whatever words to this majestic tune (I don't like the ones given above very much!)

The Old Blind Dogs' recordings of the song (on "The Gab o' Mey" and their most recent, "Play Live",) they do it as an instrumental. Good choice, methinks. They credit J. McLellan as composer.
