My daughter's chum wore a kilt to high school. He liked the kilt so much that, on occasion, he wore skirts as well. One day a group of louts beat the snot out of him in the school foyer, in front of the office windows and in full view of the security camera. They didn't like his kilt.

Afterwards, the teachers told him to stay away from the louts from then on and not to wear his skirts or kilt to school. Guess they didn't like kilts either.
