You're right there Alanabit, about the tackling that is. Now-a-days you can't touch anyone and I think it has really gone to the other extreme. Where by you can't even breath hard on a player without them dropping like they've been shot by a canon.

I think it was Alex Ferguson who summed it up when he said that George would regularly get clattered and imediately get up and call for the ball again. He was tough as well as talented.

One great line I heard at the weekend was from the hapless Northampton Town defender who was supposed to marking George on that now famous FA cup game when he scored 6 goals. The poor guy said the only time he had a good look at George all game was when he shook his hand at the final whistle.
