Dead Horse! I am actually a 'Wilson' and my clan tartan is the Gunn - However the options on the kilts I had were about 10 tartans which included the camouflage & black.

I went for Black Watch first as it ia a beautiful pattern with a magnificent history. The 2nd choice was 'Anderson' as it has the same beauty but is that lovely bloue base - Unfortunately they had run out of that tartan so I opted for McDonald (least amount of red in it) and ordered an Anderson when he gets the material.

To get a kilt made in my 'home' colours will cost about £150 - The ones I've bought are from a 'one-day' offer on e-bay - £25 for a 5yd handmade kilt sounded good to me and they are brill! - I am now also giving the bloke who makes them guitar lessons over the internet - for a discount consideration on me 'Anderson' kilt
