Home computers, of course! I can do all sorts of things with mine: contribute to threads on Mudcat (the reason why I bought it, of course!), word process via typing, voice recognition or OCR, fiddle around with various sorts of multi-media including music files, edit, store and print digital photographs (including digital photomicrographs - fairly unthinkable just a few years ago), e-mail, spreadsheets, databases etc., etc., etc.
Of course there's a price to pay for this - apoplexy and hypertension when the flipping thing won't behave or the the documentation makes no sense whatsoever!!!
