My brother-in-law wears his Anderson on occasion and you're right - it is a lovely blue. I'm originally a McGregor and like the red tartan, my middle sister had 4 'flower girls' in black watch tartan dresses at her wedding and when my eldest sister married she made her friends dresses, 1 in rust and the other in lemon to perfectly co-ordinate with her new husbands' Macpherson Kilt.
As a child I remember the pipe bands arriving pre Highland Games and tuning up outside our house before marching with that 'certain swagger' to the Games Park. It's wonderful memory. Thanks.
