Thread Name: BS: Beware if your boy/girlfriend says.....
Subject: RE: BS: Beware if your boy/girlfriend says.....
Heric - it is indeed. I have a disabled friend who is presently living with a woman (for the second time, and for convenience rather than any emotional ties) in his house. She won't let him see any of his female friends (competition), won't let him out without knowing where he's going (in case he's having more fun without her)and whom he's with; phones regularly every 2 hours if he does get out (insecurity). She reduced her working hours to spend more time with him and even then phones him from work to check up on him. She's supposedly been to counselling for this sort of obsessive behaviour but it hasn't made a great deal of difference. The more she tries to control his life, the more he kicks against it and breaks out. Soon it will break down into the arguments again and he'll ask her to leave, again. It is a circular life, it will disintegrate again and she'll go on to the next man, treat him the same, he'll want to break out and it will go on to fulfill itself.

So beware if the boy/girlfriend says 'I don't like it when you talk to XXXX' if XXXX is of the opposite sex.
