Every once in awhile, I come across music that I've been looking for for a long time... or a particularly great bargain. Here are some recent ones I thought I'd pass along in case anyone else is interested.

RING RING DE BANJO 27 tracks of virtuoso banjo by some of the all-time greats, including Vess Ossman and Fred Van Epps. I've been looking for Fred Vann Epps on CD for twenty years, so I was very excited to see this. It's am import CD at just $11.95

WE'RE GONNA ROCK, WE'RE GONNA ROLL A 4 CD set of seminal early rock and roll on 4 CDs... it has a lot of unsual, hard-to-find tracks on it, including That's All Right by Arthur Crudup, Hound Dog by Big Mama Thornton, Move It On Over by Hank Williams and Sexy Ways by the Midnighters It also includes a 68 page booklet. All for $24.95

I've picked up a ROOTS OF DOO WOP 4 CD set in the past done by the same people (Proper) and it is great.

There are also two 4 CD boxed sets of Jug Band Music at $29.95: MEMPHIS JUG BAND and MEMPHIS SHAKEDOWN; MORE JUG BAND CLASSICS.

And then there's a 4 CD boxed set of Charlie Christian... I didn't even realize he recorded that much material, and in reference to another Mudcat thread, Phil Och's first two albums on CD for $12.95 a piece

There's also Missisippi John Hurt and all sorts of other stuff to break the bank...
