Subject: BS: Mary Higgins-clark fans?
I had an interesting thing happen to me. I have almost finished all of the books written by John Grisham. He's an excellent writer and I've enjoyed every book. I also enjoy James Patterson but I'm running out of his books as well. someone suggested to me that I might enjoy Mary Higgins-Clark. I bought some of her books and was about to start reading them. My wife's grandmother said (and I quote), "I thought she wrote for women!" Now, I've read the first book (Let me call you sweetheart) and although the main character was a woman, I didn't think she was writing in a style that catered to women. then I thought, maybe I wouldn't recognize a style that catered to women. so I ask you, does Mary Higgins-Clark "write for women"?
I enjoyed the first book and will continue to read the rest anyway but I would still be interested in your opinion of the woman they call "the Queen of Suspense".
