Back in the 1990's I worked for the Simon Shuster publishing/distribution arm in Canada. I had the privilege of meeting Mary Higgins-Clark at a private gathering in her honour. She is a wondeful lady with a great sense of humour. I had a book autographed by her which I gave to my mother-in-law who a great fan of her's (needless to say she was thrilled with it). The market for Higgins-Clark books was mostly (at that time anyway) mostly female.

I must admit I have never read anything by her, reason being mysteries don't interest me.
