We started to notice this well before DVDs. The above examples were taken from TV well before the use of them. Also the differences are more than slight. I did think of the possibility that Jean Hagan, who is using a silly accent, sounded funnier saying "Ab". However she would have sounded almost as funny saying "E".

Prob'ly started with an amplifier, guitar, lunch, bed roll, clean underwear, and a dog, but by the time he got them all in a boxcar he was left behind. Then he found this magic, elcheapo guitar and a snake skin jacket with lots and lots of pockets and Bob's your uncle.
