Tourists beware!

I was driving LEGALLY in Douglas County Nevada and was pulled over by a cop.

He gave me a ticket for having expired tags. Well in Colorado you are allowed a month's grace after your tags expire before you have to renew and we had been travelling, so we hadn't renewed our tags. we still had a week left of the grace period so our tags were STILL LEGAL.

I decided to fight the ticket and went down to the courthouse. I was told that traffic tickets were only dealt with at 9:30 a.m. on Mondays.

So our party of six had to wait another week (it was noon on Monday and they refused to see us) to fight the ticket.

When I got to court the next Monday they dismissed the charge.

Still it was quite an expensive ticket. Six people's stay for a week. And then on the way back we hit a blizzard and had to stay in a hotel for two nights.

We would have missed the blizzard if we hadn't had to stay to fight the ticket.

So - AVOID NEVADA - FREEDOM COMES EXPENSIVE THERE!!!
