Aw, c'mon Peace! From 35,000 feet it would take you about 3 minutes at terminal velocity (about 120 mph) to hit the ground. Of course, you'd most likely have either frozen to death or at least lost consciousness long befor the thud. Besides, most accidents occur at takeoff or landing, when you're still on the ground.
