Leave it alone: just play it, preferably in time and only when those you are accompanying are not bodranophobics. Don't play if someone says they're unaccompanied. Too much treatment can be as damaging as none! (Well, I confess, a small smear of dubbin on the playing side once every 2 years or when I remember!)
