I first knew of Gerry from the Red Onions where he was a great clarinet player and then followed his career in the Loved Ones. Sadly the band didn't stay together for long but long enough to give Australian music some of its best songs.
Just a week before he died I was thinking of him and since his passing I have listened to Magic Box and the live album Blueberry Hill. I will continue to listen and enjoy.
