Would it not be a good thing if petrol in the US were taxed up to, say, $6 a US Gallon? Perhaps the taxation might be used to improve your inadequate Medicare and other social services. It might even discourage the use of the 15mpg SUVs and pickups that you selfishly love so much.

Perhaps then we might still have a habitable planet in 100 years or so.

Don't worry, it won't happen, not on Shrub's watch, anyway.
