Probably did what they did in Gladiator, got the real tigers to do their bit against greenscreen and then CGI'd them into the finished scene afterwards.

Looking forward to seeing this, having read the book some 32 years ago and re-read it almost annually since then. The BBC production 10 years ago didn't change the pictures in my head, I wonder if the film will make a difference.
