Not so much a movie review as a book review. Reading between the lines, the movie translates the book pretty well. And I guess that's the problem, since the book was explicitly written as a Christian allegory/parable/whatever by Lewis, whether you choose to pick up on it or not. The Last Battle (the final book in the series) makes this very clear, since it almost strays away from fiction and into Lewis's religious essays.
