While both the UK and the US have their own attributes, I am getting the feeling that some of the UK'ers as well as Canadians are somewhat envious. Might be, I know that I would not want to move out of the US with only those two choices.

I think the best defense against the negative US comments I read in this place is 'no defense'. It is a waste of time and really not necessary.
