A fine time to be letting the bus companies drop smaller cities and towns for which the bus is the ONLY way out for many residents too poor to own a car, or to savage the national rail system which a lot of people like to use instead of car travel or (energy wasteful and environmentally horrible!) air travel.

Seems that the trains are excessively subsidized, whereas that airports and roads manage to support themselves. And the buses are just crumbling under the "free market system" that operates in a pure and unadulterated manner here is the US--NOT!!

More complete and utter lack of vision from the Bush admin. No surprises here.
