Dear Friends it is with great regret that I have to inform you that Pete Elliott our friend and mentor has lost his battle with 'The Big C' as he called it. He died this morning Friday the 14th January at 7am. His fight has been a long and a very brave one loosing one lung, then fighting even more chemotherapy when the cancer came back at the end of the year. Pete will be missed by many, a wondrous eloquent wit, an amazing stalwart of the Folk Scene and as one of The Elliotts of Birtley what Traditional Folk Music is all about.
