For those who are curious "Uncommon" means that you're unlikely to find these nautical songs recorded anywhere else. In most cases I've adapted old poems for singing or composed entirely new songs.

"More Uncommon" most likely means "additional" given that this recording is a sequal to "Uncommon Sailor Songs. On second thought some of these songs might best be described as "unique." Maybe I'll entitle next year's production Unique Sailor Songs.

However, please give these songs a listen, from the MP3 samples on the website, and just maybe you'll find that they hold up uncommonly well.

My titling is probably inspired by the title of John Ashton's classic collection of old broadsides entitled REAL SAILOR-SONGS, 1891.
