Mudcat failled to actually refresh a years worth of threads when asked to...

Well, Clinton, it's hard to figure what you're trying to do. Yes, we have the filter set so it won't refresh all threads for a year - that makes too big a load on our equipment. You can set it so if will find all threads titled with the partial word FRAPP for a year, or for the lifetime of Mudcat.
The Search Box is mostly for the text within a thread (but it doesn't cover the most recent year). Use the other search engines if you're searching for titles.
I will agree that it is inconvenient that the SuperSearch isn't working perfectly, but that's what the situation is right now.
