Enough people seem to believe that they can get responsible and representative government by voting for the Democrats or the Republicans. I call THAT abandoning reason! A scientific study of the social and ethical results of the last few decades of American politics would, in my opinion, prove them deeply mistaken...and relying upon a faith that does not hold water.

Most people are unreasonable. Just about what is the question... You get to know them well, and you find that out. They comfort themselves by focusing on the irrationality of others instead of examining their own.
