A few weeks ago, Pal released a new beta version (8.2, I think) with dramatic improvement in sound quality (although it is a bit too "digital for my taste, particularly on the high strings). Paltalk requires this new beta version to enter rooms that are equipped with the capability to handle the sound enhancement. I just checked the Paltalk site and the version is available for download. I can't wait to hear you under the new version! For the time being some rooms will require 8.2, issuing the message you received if you are down level. 8.2 will work just fine in rooms that are not 8.2-ified.
