Thread Name: The role of parodies in folk
Subject: RE: The role of parodies in folk
Well, Nigel, once when we were in a song circle someone who was new to the group sang a song that was very well known within that group. As soon as he was done, someone else sang a parody of his song that was also very well known within the group. The man got up and walked out without saying a word and was never seen again. The rest of us thought like you but, apparently, this fellow didn't.
