The expected "prognosis" for people in their 80's, who survive major strokes, just really pisses me off. It seems to be assumed that they will not want to make it all the way back. As long as they can rehab enough to be tended in a nursing home, that seems to be "enough" rehab. This was a VERY active man, mentally and physically-- he only retired from the active priesthood a few years ago!
