I've been making a cockroach trap using a wine bottle with a teaspoon or so of either wine or beer in the bottom and a smear of oil around the inside of the top of the bottle. Cockies can't resist beer or wine, crawl in to indulge, can't get back out because of the oil smear, and die in what most Aussie males would think was heaven, floating in beer.

Go on, tell me I shouldn't be wasting good beer on cockroaches!
