As someone who has been quite happily contributing to Wikipedia for some time, it occurred to me (duh!) that it was the same philosophy as Mudcat -- the Internet as community. I was wondering if there were others here who had been Wikipediaists. It is not as much fun as Mudcat, but pretty fun.
