The stuff open mike mentions above is known as "Mexican cream." It is only a little thicker than table cream and contains a few additives that I suppose are for stablility. It is somewhat sweet and can be used in much the same way as table cream or creme fraiche; but it lacks the flavor and consistency of clotted cream.
