Subject: RE: Tech: DVD audio to CD?
Thanks Clinton. I didn't even know where I needed to start looking. The only ripper for Mac seems to be Roxio's Popcorn.
A little experimenting demonstrated that I can record directly onto a .wav file with CD Spin Doctor (which came with Toast, which I do have), doing this in real time and using the "internal microphone" setting. And since I just want to record bits of the DVD, not the whole thing, I'll go that way.
I was hoping I didn't have to do something like record out to minidisc or tape, then record back in from that, and I don't.
It gets a bit convoluted, but the reason I need to do this is to put guitar solos that I have on DVD into Amazing Slow Downer where I can transcribe them more easily.
