Thread Name: Jonathan Kelly Live !!!
Subject: RE: Jonathan Kelly Live !!!
Just a reminder that Jonathan Kelly is appearing at the Ravenswood, Sharpthorne near East Grinstead Sussex
on Monday 6th Feb ....   check out http://www.acousticsussex.org.uk/

I like many others was a big Jk fan in the 1970s and i went to as many concerts as i could and he never dissapointed, over the years i often thought i wish i could attend another JK concert but it seemed impossible until i had some inside information that he would do a short set in Rotherham which would be his first appearence for 30 years and I was lucky enough to see Jonathan that night at his 4 song comeback in the middle of 5 or 6 singers, well i say 4 songs it was actually 5 songs as he dosen't like to dissapoint anyone and when i said its a shame he didn't do my favorite, ( not for any other reason but a talking point ), he managed to find a guitar and he did a great version of chains in the doorway ( in fact almost in the car park ) as the last of the audience were leaving, there wasn't many of us left but the ones who were included the likes of Steve Womack and as it was totally unexpected we all looked on in amazement because this was no average attempt just quickly done to appease, it sounded great. I was also lucky enough to attend his two very successful concerts since then including some great new songs he sung at the second one and even though it was the first time anyone had heard them they really stuck in the mind, ( great songs do at first hearing ) and there's no question when he asks what do you want me to do, even though it hasn't been recorded yet Eileen will be shouted out by most of the people who heard it.
if you haven't visited jonathans website yet its worth a look at www.jonathankelly.co.uk

Jonathan Kelly is a truly great songwriter and performer, if you remember him from the 70s do yourself a favour and attend one of his concerts, or more than one because once you've seen him you will want to again,
if you dont remember him do yourself a favour and attend one of his concerts because if you do you'll certainly remember him in the future.
He's also a very nice guy, if you have any memories of him in the past he'll be quite happy to chat to you about them, or if you just want to say hello do so.
