Great songwriting, guys! The story sounds a lot like one I heard on the NPR show "This American Life," which involved a squirrel that got under a sofa. The people called the police for help, the cops inadvertently chased the squirrel into the fireplace, and the rest is pretty much the same. I checked snopes.com, but couldn't find anything on it.
