11.30 28 January 2006
Lecture on source material at the National Library, Aberystwyth

At the National Library’s open day on Saturday 28 January 2006, anyone with an interest in the folk field is invited to join Dr Rhidian Griffiths, the Library’s Director of Public Services, in the Drum, the
Library’s new performance space.

Dr Griffiths will explain the types of material available in the Library and outline the background of the traditional music sources and resources available. The presentation begins at 11.30 and will be
followed by a guided tour of the Library with a chance to see examples from the collection.

If the thought of doing your own research has always appealed to you, but you haven’t known where to start or how to make use of the National Library, this is the Beginner’s Guide for you.

If you’re interested, you’ll need to book a place by sending an email
to trac@trac-cymru.org, or if you’re not on email, you can phone the
trac office on 029 20 318863.

The event is free of charge, and translation facilities will be available. For further details on the National Library and directions,
