It was somewhat impressive when the Giant followers from Catalania all got on their bombards to serenade the giants. Luckily we were outside in a large town square in Manchester. 30 of them going off at once is something you don't forget, but being into heavy metal, I found the effect dreadfully pleasing.

It's always the problem for any instrument that carries (soundwise) - how do you practice it long enough to become good at it without becoming a social paraiah in the process? It's bad enough trying to get decent singing practice in!
