ah, Gurney..."Single Malt" does not guarantee quality....I have some "Glen Gyle" that was given to me, and I cannot choke it down...and some "Old Fettercairn" that is barely tolerable.....but don't be casting your eyes on my Cragganmore or my Highland Park! And I'll take all the Springbank you can send me...and Talisker, at certain moments is Nirvana. Single Malts are like everything else, some are held to higher standards.....and the price 'usually' tells you something.
