If you can afford it, also upgrade that new computer to XP Professional. It's a much more robust version of the program.
Like John said, you may need to install a fresh copy of the program. Did your version come with the machine? You may want to first visit Adobe.com and see about updating the extant program before doing an uninstall/reinstall operation.
