and no matter what you finally do with Adobe, I recommend having FoxitPDF reader on your machine. I have it set to be my default PDF reader, and only use Adobe for rare unusual files. Foxit will open 'most' standard PDF fast and clean, as it does not need to load all the exotic baggage Adobe loads by default. ...and it does not ask you to do those %%$#@**&^ updates,...*grin*
