It's not 'news' to many of us that it is really that bad, but it is really news when, as has happened several times recently, military men who ought to know say it out loud!

Now Bush has gotten himself in so deep that he almost has to keep faking it, lying to himself as well as us, and spending a few hundred more billions trying to put band-aids on belly wounds.

No matter who we elect this fall and in 2006, we won't recover from this debacle for a long time.
