You haven't reached it yet, obviously. To be honest with you, neither have I, in some respects. Like you I am happy to have a peaceful and profitable life.

But your characterization of this man is wrong-headed; he is being honest in his views, and that is never treason.

Selling a war that is not needed could be, though. Inverting the balance sheet of a nation might be. Leading the country into a deeper addiction to energy sources which require hostility and aggression (or look like they do) could well be so construed.
