Last night I was ocasionally hearing a very slangish tango and was wandering how hilarious it would be to present to an English-speaking audience such a piece of underworld art, but in a form that they could understand. A translation would be needed, but not an academic one, but the most SLANG, gangster, language found in NY or Chicago. Anyone interested in a cooperative authoring of a bastarded English lyrics ? (Nothing dirty, just criminal). I would give you the MIDI and the lyrics with a good explanation, and you (disguised as gangsters)would find the words and make them rhyme. Of course the copyright is yours.
Oh.. the subject of the song is satyrical, very funny in Lunfardo (underworld Spanish of Buenos Aires in the 20's) If some interested, let me know.
