Thread Name: BS: Uploading Ringtones to my phone?
Subject: RE: BS: Uploading Ringtones to my phone?
SIM card is the little thingy that snaps into the phone.
i just got a replacement phone and this is the first time
i have had one with a chip like that...a printed circuit
card of some sort...probably a big brother device to track
you, and tell if you are a terrorist or something?

but i do think that the GSM phone can be programmed to work
over seas..perhaps by putting in a different card...

the ring tones on the new phone are all lame, and the games
are, too. the games are only samples and only last for a few
tries then you are supposed to buy them. oh well, I do not
need to play "Snake" any way...

what type of phone do you have? nokia has some interesteing
devices and features...i have not tried to use the internet
connect feature....not sure i need it to do all that stuff..
when i got it i just asked for one i could get and receive
voice calls on...do not need photo, e-mail, and all that..

like those office machines that copy, fax, scan, and all,
just one more thing to break or go wrong then it is all kaput.
speking of which perhaps there is info on the
"cell phone kaput" thread

i guess you do mean upload instead of down load..
good luck and let us know what you find,
I think my daughter was able to record me singing
a song and get her phone to play that when it rings..

one of the premises of the book "future shock" is
the complicated choices we are faced with these days..
such as ring tones, graphics, etc.!!
