There is unfortunately a problem with using those methods of entering accented characters in messages here in the Forum. On YOUR type of computer it would show a character which might be DIFFERENT than that on a different type of computer, ie MAC vs Windows machines.

The HTML codes for special characters, or extended characters were created for this specific problem. You can find out about the specfics of ACCENTED characters, by doing a Forum Search on the word(?) HTML.
