Fir those who read "Sleepless Dad's" post just a couple of sidebars fir folks not terribly educated about RJ's life... First was the point that Sleppless Dad made but perhaps not strong enough... When RJ left for his little "pilgrimage" he still couldn't play a lick... Tw oeyars later when he returned he could outplay jst about everyone who had made fun of him... This is an imporatnt part of crossroads "story" that makes it more believeable in RJ's case, though it wasn't, than in the case of Larry Johnson...

Secondly, when RJ did return he would play with his back to the audience lots because he didn't want anyone stealing his licks...

I won't get into the cause of his death since that story is purdy well known...
