I can still remember the embarassment of being 16 and having my boyfriend saying goodnight to me on the front verandah - and hearing my younger brother making snide remarks about "you two canoodling out there".

Oh, the mortification......!

I don't know whether 'pash' is an Ozzie term or if it comes from further afield. 'Pash rash' is to be avoided at all costs, it smarts. 'Petting' was the term used when I was a teenager, it sounds so coy now doesn't it!
