I'm looking for lyrics to a song, possibly by Bob Gibson, called "And the Band Played Dixie", referring to the date in April 1865 when the surrender of the Confederacy was announced in DC. The song is about a report of Lincoln calling for the army band to play Dixie in honor of the Southern soldiers.
