ok. so don't blame me if it snows down a storm. blame the snow gods whoever they may be.

Btw- I tried to find reference on the Internet that would define "burnin bread" for those who are unfamiliar with the saying. But I've not had any luck so far.

I've heard the sayin "Don't burn bread on me" among urban Black youth/adultsat least since the 1990s . When someone talks about something bad that might happen to a person in the future, the first person might say "Don't burn bread on me". For instance, I might say to a teen "If you keep hangin around that wild crowd, you're going to land up in jail". The teen could say to his friend "She just burnt bread on me".

The implication is that there is power in words, Just the act of verbalizing something bad might cause it to happen. I guess the bread that was burned was bread made out of flour and not "bread"=money.

However, IMO, this is just an excuse for accepting personal responsibility for the consequences of one's actions.

BUT- if it snows where you're living, don't blame me-cause I ain't burned no bread on you.
