Subject: RE: BS: Where did all the snow go?
Well I woke up this mornin to a very very light dusting of snow in Pittsburgh. Just a teeny bit of white powder on the cars, and an even smaller amount on the grass. Plus it rainy/snowing as I type this but it will amount to nothing-I think.

But in Detroit-site of the Superbowl XL, , it's a different story. Check this out:

"DETROIT (Feb. 4, 2006) -- With strong wind and 4 to 7 inches of snow forecast, snow removal crews girded for a winter storm as thousands of fans headed downtown on Super Bowl eve...

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for Detroit through noon Feb. 5, predicting 5 to 8 inches of snow before the storm passes. The heaviest amounts were to fall tonight, with gusts up to 40 mph.

"I would definitely say that road conditions are going to deteriorate quickly," said Karen Kahl, a meteorologist with the weather service office in suburban Oakland County.

The snow comes after the third-warmest January on record in Detroit, with high temperatures in the 40s most of the month..."

Well, it's not my fault. Blame it on those snow gods that Bobert wrote about earlier.
