I've thought that it would be interesting to put together a program of such poem/songs, writen by people we think of, primarily as poets Such as The Wandering Angus by Yeats, (Did he also write Down By the Sally Gardens?) some of the Burns songs, The Highwayman (as sung by Phil Ochs) a couple of the Edgar Allen Poe poems, (annabelle Lee and The Bells) Any other ideas? Perhaps I'll start its very own thread.
